Cath-Tip, Inc.'s precision catheter tipping system is a multiple project machine capable of tip forming and/or welding almost all thermo-plastic materials. Our machines are manufactured for industrial use and are powered by a 1.0 KW @ 450 KHz R.F. Generator. The Cath-Tip I is a manually fed machine primarily used for simple tipping processes with lower volumes and where operator variables will not effect part quality. The Cath-Tip II is a semi-automatic catheter tipping machine capable of performing the most challenging tipping and bonding processes. This machine offers a keypad entry programmable controller for heat controls, part feeding, part clamping and air-cooling. Two stage heating is used to maximize heat control and minimize cycle time. A stepping motor and leadscrew drive are programmed for precision part feeding and placement. One-step quick-change tooling makes product changeovers and die cleaning an easy process. Multiple air-cooling functions are programmed for rapid die cooling. Our tipping dies are made from high-density carbide for extended production life. Tipping dies are mounted in a water-cooled block with a quick-change thread-in, thread-out design. Tipping dies can be contoured to accommodate almost all medical catheter tip applications and sizes. Carbide dies are extremely damage resistant from production cleaning operations.
